Professional History

Jimmy Mühlebach is an individual, who thrives when confronted with challenges. His analytical mind and his extensive knowledge of the food and beverage Industry combined with his tenacity for excellence provided the background for his venture into hospitality consulting.

He grew up in Switzerland, where he was educated. Since his parents owned two restaurants, Jimmy decided to follow in his parents’ foot steps. A thorough apprenticeship in the Hospitality Industry was his start off point in this field. In 1979, Jimmy decided to move to Canada. For topographic and climatic reasons he settled in Vancouver. Living in a port city, Jimmy was fascinated with the constant activity of cruise ships. With his background and education he had no problem getting work on one of the finest ships afloat, the "Royal Viking Sea". After more than two years of globe trotting and exploration of six continents, Jimmy decided it was time to return to the picturesque West Coast. His keen interest of good food and fine wine led him over the next decade to work in varied positions in some of the finest hospitality establishments in Switzerland and the Greater Vancouver area. In 1991, Jimmy and his family decided to move to the beautiful Okanagan, which is one of Canada's premier wine producing area.

Being involved throughout his career with concept development, staff training and opening several hospitality operations, he turned to utilising his entrepreneurial skills and founded Bottom Line Consulting in 1997.

Jimmy has been honoured with the American Express Service Excellence Award, has earned his Certified Hospitality Supervisor from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association. He is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course "Leadership Training for Managers" as well as Management Research Associates' "Executive Leadership Seminar".
